CONCORD kick-off week 2026
The deadline for the event registration and travel reimbursement request is December, 1st 2025.
Building on the positive feedback from you on different moments of the Rewire in 2025 and the memory of a very warm moment we had at a face to face Policy Forum (PoFo) in January 2025, we are pleased to invite you to the 2026 'kick-off' week.
During this week, we will have a Policy Forum, two thematic sessions that bring together members across projects and sub-projects, and a few sub-project kick-offs.
- Starting with welcoming you to Brussels on Monday 26th, the Policy Forum will be a chance to catch-up on what CONCORD has achieved in 2025, outline the EU context in 2026 and the calendar for the year (including CONCORD's strategy process and next steps in Shifting Power), and rounding off in the afternoon of Thursday 30th to hear what each of the sub-projects has planned for the first half of 2026.
- Thematic session 1: CONCORD and the private sector in international cooperation. Drawing on the experiences of members working in national platforms, the human development and inequalities, Global Gateway and AidWatch sub-projects especially, we will try to draw out the 'do's, don'ts and questions to explore' from a confederation perspective.
- Thematic session 2: focus on space and funding for civil society. We will try to bring together the work on civil society power (enabling environment and shift the power sub-projects), follow the money sub-project, MFF and the gender equality sub-projects to try to increase the synergies and impact of this work.
- Dedicated Global Gateway, Human Development and Inequalities, Civil Society Power, Gender Equality, MFF, Follow the Money kick-offs will take place. This will be your chance to get involved and shape the next steps.
- A dedicated space will be given to debriefing on 2ebri025 AidWatch to help nourish discussions to reshape the next AidWatch and other CONCORD positions on ODA
We've kept an open space for other topics that may crop up during the week and would like through your registration to hear if you would be interested in support to set up some side-meetings with Permanent Representations/European Parliament/others while here.
We hope this programme will be attractive to you as we know that moments together face-to-face are what brings CONCORD to life.
